A perforated net that sits against the wound bed and lets exudate pass up into an absorbent dressing above it. It holds no fluid itself, so a secondary pad and fixation are needed over the top, and it can then stay in place for up to 14 days while that outer dressing is changed.

  • Soft silicone Safetac layer on a transparent, flexible polyamide net with an open mesh structure
  • Minimises pain to the patient and trauma to the wound and the surrounding skin at dressing removal
  • Transparent, so the wound can be inspected during application and through wear
  • Can stay in place for up to 14 days while the outer absorbent dressing is changed
  • Suitable for skin tears, skin abrasions, sutured wounds, partial thickness burns, lacerations, skin grafts, diabetic foot ulcers and venous and arterial leg ulcers
  • Can be used under compression bandages, and alongside Negative Pressure Wound Therapy
