Sorbsan Ribbon is a sterile, non-woven cavity wound dressing made from calcium alginate, with a high Mannuronic acid and low Guluronic acid content.
When in contact with wound exudate, the fibres transform into a soft sodium-calcium alginate gel that:

Maintains a moist environment to support optimal wound healing

Molds easily to wound contours for better contact and coverage

Allows for atraumatic removal, reducing discomfort for the patient

Is quick and simple to remove by irrigating with 0.9% saline solution
